Peter Schlosser (TU, advisor J. Behrndt): Time evolution of superoscillations

Abstract: Superoscillation is the strange and paradoxical phenomenon, that functions can (locally) oscillate faster than any of their Fourier components. The origin and application of these waves is e.g. to get higher resolutions in optical measurements. The aim of my work is to study whether superoscillations survive the interaction with certain potentials or if its delicate interference gets destroyed. [hide abstract]
